Harrold Raring To Go

Harrold Raring To Go

Striker Matt Harrold has said he's raring to go now having been in training for a bit, and he's relishing the Billingshurst friendly tomorrow.

Harrold will make his non competitive debut for the club on Friday, since joining us this summer, one of nine that manager John Gregory has so far added, and speaking to the Official Site he admitted that training so far had been very hard, but he felt productive, and now he knows he's not alone in wanting to get back out on the pitch properly for a proper run out.

'We have worked hard so far but it has still been enjoyable. they have been long days with double sessions but the programme (Head of Medical and Sports Science) Niall Clark has put together has been really interesting. We've still done plenty of hard running but it's been sensible and we are now working on pattern of play.'

Of course it has been an interesting summer because in many cases it's almost an entirely new club playing wise with the signings and departures we have seen, and Harrold admits that although it took the players a good few days to get into the swing of things and know each other, because so many were in that position, it has probably made it easier to bond.

'A lot of us are in the same boat in terms of being new to the club and it takes a few days to start getting to know each other. I think it's a hard working group though and the banter is starting to flow which is good.'
