Collins John No-Go?

Further trialists have linked-up with Crawley this pre-season, no fewer than 10 were involved in total for the game won ten-nil against Oakwood on Tuesday night, among them was the well known former Fulham and Holland striker international Collins John.

I believe he was last, in this country anyway, with Barnet a season or two ago.

Incredibly he is still only 28-years-old but I would be amazed if he was signed as he will be either (a) too unfit and/or (b) too injury prone to take a risk on, and injuries have been terrible for him over the years.

With all due respect to Barnet if he didn't last with them as a league 2, maybe even non-league club at the time, he will not make it with us in league 1 will he?

John was given a start in the win over Oakwood and was the only player to start the second half after John Gregory made ten changes but was reportedly looking well off the pace and apparently not that impressive so as much as it is/was worth a go perhaps this is a no-go....
