Crawley 2-3 Chelsea
Three goals in the final eleven minutes of the game consigned Crawley to defeat in our final pre season friendly of the summer against a Chelsea U21 side.
Goals from Josh Simpson and Izale McLeod in the first half gave us a good and well deserved two nil lead going into the half time break, and manager John Gregory used the opportunity to change the entire team again in the second period to get a good hour into as many of our first team group as he could.

Gregory did start with the side that could well open the League One game at Oakwell next weekend, and he did name 12 substitutes for the match, including 21 year old Canadian midfielder Austin Dias who is on trial.
Jensen (Spiegel 45), Oyebanjo (Bawling 63), Dickson (Adamatey 77), Leacock (Bradley 60), Walsh (Stewart 60), Edwards, Smith (Rose 63), Simpson (Henderson 45), Young, McLeod (O`Connor 48), Tomlin (Rose 52).
One worrying thing from the game came in the shape of an injury to Gavin Tomlin who was substituted in the second period, and speaking to the press following the game Gregory explained that although it's far too early yet to assess any severity, the worry is that Tomlin has a history of this kind of injury when it comes to groin and hamstring problems and obviously if he is out for a period it will be a huge blow for us.
'It's a bit disappointing, he might have tweaked a hamstring today which is really bad news for us.'
