Gregory's High Expectations

Gregory's High Expectations

John Gregory's got great expectations for this season, and if these aren't met he will view this season as a 'total failure'.

The Crawley boss is natural born winner that 'strives for excellence and perfection' so he wants to finish top of the league 1 table and that will be the aim as if you aim high and fall short you will not be too far adrift of that target.

Fourth or fifth and he'll be 'ecstatic' but he is expecting a top eight finish, and isn't going to accept anything less....

He told the Crawley News: 'I expect us to finish in the top eight, I expect that without any question.

'Anything below that is a failure as far as I'm concerned, a total failure.'

Given the fact that the budget is much lower this season than it has been in recent times, and he knows for a fact that at least eight clubs have a bigger budget than us, it will be hard but he says that we 'must' finish in such a position.

Gregory added: 'We must finish in the top eight.

'That's asking an enormous amount considering our budget compared to other teams in our division; there are going to be more than eight teams with a bigger budget than us.'

We go into this season as underdogs but he likes this tag!
