Smith In Team Of The Week (26/9/17)

Smith In Team Of The Week (26/9/17)

Crawley Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Jimmy Smith in the two one victory over Barnet at the weekend at The Hive was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Smith was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Crawley picked up all three points from their trip to Barnet, where Smith turned in a true captain`s performance in the 2-1 win. The midfielder slid in to expertly guide home the opener, and he timed another run to perfection late on, heading home to clinch victory.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Smith for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Murphy (Bury), Danny Grainger (Carlisle United), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Oliver Lancashire (Swindon Town), Tony McMahon (Bradford City), Jodi Jones (Coventry City), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Jimmy Smith (Crawley Town), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United), Junior Morais (Peterborough United).

Manager - Chris Wilder (Sheffield United).
