Crawley 2-0 Yeovil
It wasn't goals from the strikers that John Gregory has been after but the most important thing was that Crawley won at the weekend.
Two-goals in two-minutes in the second half were enough to see Crawley to a 2-0 win over Yeovil Town at Broadfield on Saturday afternoon.
Yeovil almost took a first half lead when Joel Grant beat Jamie Ashdown, but fortunately for us this effort came back off the post as we got through to half time level.
Marvin Elliott (57 & 59), firstly when he headed home a Gwion Edwards cross and then finished from close range from a Jimmy Smith cross, scored twice in the second half on his home debut to leave us in control by the hour mark.
Like he had in the first half Ashdown was called into action, with a late save making sure he kept a cleansheet and maintained his impressive start to life as our 'keeper.
After the game assistant boss Paul Groves told BBC Surrey: 'I think any three points is always welcome and today was a tough game, especially in the first half when we had to weather a bit of a storm.
'Once we spoke to the lads and they took that on board some instruction, they carried it out.
'What the team has shown today is that when you are able to field an experienced group of players like that, you have that little bit of know how at the right times in games.'
