Crawley's Johnstone's Paint Trophy bid continues as we avoided what would have been a cup upset after securing 1-0 win over league 2 outfit Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night.

Gwion Edwards went close to breaking through for us in the first half but his effort was saved by Elliot Justham, the follow up saw Lewis Young's effort deflected wide by Luke Wilkinson.

The closest Luton came was a Luke Guttridge effort that went wide.

Shortly after the break we managed the breakthrough when Young crossed to Matt Harrold, his effort hit the bar but Edwards (51) was on hand to smash home the rebound and give us the lead we deserved.

Brian Jensen was beaten by Charlie Walker but his effort came back off the bar with our veteran 'keeper able to recover to save his rebound.

Marvin Elliott and Edwards could have secured the win with Luton again going close to equalising but Guttridge's drive again struck the woodwork as we advanced into round three with a one-nil win.
