Crawley 1-1 Crewe Alexandra
A point is something that Crawley had to be content with on Saturday against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon.
Having fallen a goal behind the 1-1 draw at Broadfield, although slightly disappointing, is one we would have taken in the end.
Crawley went ahead when George Cooper (19) fired past Jamie Ashdown after a one-two with James Baillie.
Izale McLeod twice had first half chances, the first was straight at Crewe 'keeper Ben Garratt and another he parried away.
We had Ashdown to thank for tipping a John Guthrie effort over the bar to make sure we went into the break only one-down.
John Gregory brought on Matt Harrold to help us in our search for an equaliser and he almost got this when Harrold broke to give Gwion Edwards a chance, which Garratt saved after his deflected effort.
A seventh-goal of the season was scored by McLeod (68) at the midway point of the second half as he beat Garratt from the edge of the area.
Had it not been for Garratt, who denied the striker from close range again we would have won instead of drawing one-one.
Gregory wasn't at all happy though, raising question marks over his own future after the game by admitting he might be considering his future as our boss?
