A lead was lost as Crawley, which was also for a first time this season in the league when most tip the Reds to struggle, were beaten two-one by a Wimbledon side that doesn't travel very well!

Crawley went into the half time break one-up when Edwards (34) headed in a Rooney cross but early in the second half Akinfenwa (51) headed in a Barcham cross to make it one-one. Barcham (76), already denied by Newcastle loanee 'keeper Woodman, followed up to head home after Francomb had seen his effort blocked to win it for the Dons.

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Friday 14th August

Saturday 15th August
Barnet 0-2 Wycombe
Carlisle 4-4 Cambridge Utd
Crawley 1-2 AFC W'don

Plymouth 1-2 Portsmth
Yeovil 0-1 Bristol R
York City 1-2 Hartlepool

Looking at these results the stand out one has to be the Northampton win against Exeter and the incredible draw between Carlisle and Cambridge!

This three-nil Northampton win against previously unbeaten Exeter, which followed up a three-nil League Cup win over Blackpool in midweek, made it three wins out of three with seven-goals scored and none conceded so far by Chris Wilder's side.

An up and down game at Brunton Park saw Carlisle come from behind and Ibehre grab himself a hat-trick, the first in League 2 this season to continue his early season form, but that still wasn't enough to give the Blues all three-points in a four-four draw with free scoring Cambridge.

Crawley are back in action this midweek with another tough League 2 game against in form Portsmouth, also at Broadfield, on Tuesday.
